Rajesh Nagpal shares winning experience

I was travelling from Chennai to Banglore when the match was in full swing – when I say this, there are no prizes to guess that Rohit Sharma was on fire!

With every boundary, my friend (a senior officer and a cricket fanatic), who was on the driving seat, jumped at least few inches! His foot pressed the accelerator excitedly to wake up the speedometer from cruising sleep. And with every six he pressed hard enough to shift the needle to dangerous levels. Already with a bandaged arm and a head, my heartbeat drifted frequently from its normal path.

When Rohit lofted the ball over the boundary, this time to cross 200 mark, my friend galloped as his head hit the ceiling. As I tried to calm him down, Rohit’s gutsy shot reminded me of Virendra Sehwag. Whether he was near to his 100 mark or 200 or even 300, he was just the same – playing his natural game. Though he had also crossed the 200 mark couple of years ago, he had completed the feat with a boundary. But here was a six!

Oh hey, sorry for this comparison. In real sense, both innings were stupendous. On both occasions, India won. Last time it was against West Indies and this time it was Australia.

Sorry again! While I’m talking about two double centuries, how can I forget the third, that too from the greatest amongst all – our own Sachin Tendulkar. He had also accomplished the feat against South Africa steering a cool win for India!

While we’ve seen three, we crave for more! And I know India has everything! It has done it in past, it has done again now and it can do it in future as well.

Comm’on India! Let’s show to everyone that we have everything!
